Production Process Engineer - Cell Assembly
We are looking for a dedicated Production Process Engineer to establish the high-precision Assembly and critical Activation phases of LFP battery cell production. This role requires a Cross-Functional Process engineer who can manage the critical transition from mechanical assembly (CA) to electrochemical activation (FA) focusing on quality, safety, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization: Develop, implement, and continuously improve all processes to maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and reduce waste.
- Capacity Enhancement: Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to increase line capacity and throughput.
- Standardization & Documentation: Develop, write, and maintain clear, accurate production process procedures and training materials for all operators.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to the highest safety and environmental standards
- Weld Process Integrity: Establish and maintain robust welding parameters (laser and resistance) to ensure structural and electrical reliability of the cell.
- Testing Protocol Development: Prepare and refine protocols for critical quality checks like Helium leak testing and HiPot (High Potential) electrical testing to guarantee cell safety and integrity.
- Quality Data Analysis: Analyze the performance of each cell based on EOL test results (DCIR, OCV, Grading) and propose corrections to align final product quality.
- Controlled Environment & Chemical Handling: Managing processes in a dry room/clean environment and ensuring the safe and precise handling of chemicals.
What We're Looking For:
- A university degree (VI/VII level) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- A proven record (ideally 3+ years) in an automated assembly environment focused on high-precision products (e.g., automotive components, electronics, medical devices).
- Direct experience with welding technologies (especially laser welding) is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and data acquisition systems for power components.
- Experience with process control systems, statistical process control (SPC), conducting relevant PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and quality analysis methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data to drive actionable improvements.
- Excellent command of English language (verbal and written) is required for daily collaboration with international teams and suppliers.
You Are Expected To:
- Demonstrate a high degree of ownership and initiative, treating process challenges as opportunities for innovation.
- Be a fast and proactive learner, eager to master the complexities of battery cell technology and electrochemical principles.
- Be a proactive problem-solver with the ability to analyze key production data (OEE, Cpk, Yield) and propose corrections.
- Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with maintenance, quality, and production teams.
- Embrace a safety-first mindset and contribute to a culture of continuous operational excellence.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- Opportunities for professional development and career growth.
- Work in an innovative environment leading the way in battery research and development.
- Contribute to the development of clean energy technologies with real-world applications.
- Flexible working hours – coordinate with your management and choose your own schedule.
