Senior Cathode Scientific Researcher

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Cathode Scientific Researcher to drive the research, development, and integration of advanced cathode materials, with a specific focus on Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) Cathode Active Materials (CAM). The ideal candidate will possess a strong chemical or material science background, deep expertise in electrochemistry, and a passion for accelerating the next generation of battery technology.

Your Job Responsibilities will include:

Lead Electrochemical R&D: Design and execute advanced testing protocols (capacity retention, impedance analysis) to evaluate cathode materials, focusing on fundamental mechanisms and degradation analysis using techniques like XRD, SEM, and TEM.

Drive LFP Innovation: Actively participate in LFP CAM projects to enhance performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, and contribute to developing Li-ion battery recycling technologies.

Strategic Integration & Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams and external partners/suppliers to support cathode material selection and integration into prototypes and production scale-up.

Technical Strategy & IP: Scout and analyze technical trends (literature/patents) and generate innovative insights to build the company’s IP strategy.

Mentorship & Reporting: Provide mentorship to junior staff and meticulously document all procedures, results, and findings in technical reports and publications.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: Graduated faculty, VI or VII degree, in a Chemical direction (e.g., Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Material Science).
  • Experience: Proven hands-on experience in designing and executing electrochemical tests for battery materials.
  • Expertise: Deep knowledge of the fundamental mechanisms governing the electrochemical behavior and degradation of cathode materials.
  • Familiarity with advanced material characterization techniques (XRD, SEM, TEM).
  • Strong collaborative skills and experience working with external suppliers and research partners.
