ElevenEs CEO Delivers “Mr. Reality” Message on Gigafactory Scaling
Nemanja Mikać, ElevenEs CEO, participated in an insightful panel discussion within the Future Battery Forum in Berlin: “The challenge of scaling up, viable solutions for gigafactory scaling”, together with Mike O’Regan (Aris Machina), Pavol Krokoš (GIB EnergyX Slovakia), and Christoph Mille (Verkor), moderated by Pierre Bagnon (Capgemini).
The discussion generated a clear, concise message to the publics emphasizing that moving beyond pilot lines requires a relentless focus on design for sustainable manufacturability and achieving high process yields from day one.
During the panel discussion, Nemanja Mikać stated:
“I’m speaking probably at the final conference before a Mega factory starts breaking ground. And I will be speaking as Mr. Reality: the situation in the industry is not great, and Europe can’t move forward without taking cautious calculated risks. The facts show that some things have been done fast and too ambitiously. There was huge amount of money available at the time, and probably too quickly for the industry to usefully deploy it.
Based on previous experiences, ElevenEs decided to take a leaner approach, utilizing the money to learn and grow, cautiously waiting to fully develop our path. Our team of experts focused on mastering the quality of the product and the processes for over almost two years. Now we have decided to go further because we believe we are competent enough to start the Mega factory adventure.”
