BESS Container Integration Manager
As a BESS Container Integration Manager, you will play a crucial role in the development and integration of battery energy storage systems (BESS) within containerized solutions. This position requires a strong technical background in system engineering, supplier management, and cross-functional coordination to ensure seamless integration of power conversion, battery management, and thermal management systems. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to drive product development, optimize system performance, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Job responsibilities:
Product Development & Requirements Engineering:
- Define and document product requirements, ensuring alignment with technical specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Drive system-level design by establishing clear functional, electrical, thermal, and mechanical requirements.
- Conduct technical feasibility assessments, analyzing potential risks and mitigation strategies.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management:
- Develop and manage Scope of Work documents for suppliers, ensuring clarity in deliverables, timelines, and compliance with project objectives.
- Collaborate with vendors, manufacturers, and component suppliers to define interfaces and integration requirements.
- Work closely with procurement teams to evaluate supplier capabilities and support sourcing decisions.
System Integration & Engineering Coordination:
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional engineering teams to ensure a fully integrated system solution.
- Define system boundaries, interconnections, and communication protocols between BESS components and external systems.
- Ensure seamless integration of power conversion systems, battery management systems (BMS), thermal management solutions, and control software within containerized solutions.
- Oversee hardware and software integration, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Project Execution & Risk Management:
- Manage the execution of engineering work packages, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and performance expectations.
- Monitor project progress, conduct design reviews, and ensure proper documentation of decisions and changes.
Customer & Market Engagement:
- Act as a technical liaison with customers, understanding their requirements and ensuring solutions meet operational and regulatory expectations.
- Provide technical support for customer inquiries, proposals, and contract negotiations.
- Stay updated on market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to enhance BESS product competitiveness.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a System Integration Engineer, preferably in Lithium-Ion Battery Systems or related energy storage industries.
- Strong expertise in battery system architecture, BMS, power electronics, and thermal management.
- Hands-on experience in managing complex system integration projects from concept to deployment.
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage technical deliverables.
- Excellent English proficiency (minimum B2 level) for effective communication with internal teams and external partners.
